The NanoDrop ND-1000 is a full-spectrum spectrophotometer that measures 1 µL samples with high accuracy and reproducibility. It uses 1 mm and 0.2 mm path lengths for each measurement cycle to provide an extensive dynamic range. The ND-1000 can measure high-concentration samples without dilution, up to 50 times more concentrated than many standard cuvette spectrophotometers. Surface tension technology keeps the sample in place without the need for sample containment devices, making cleanup quick and easy.
The ND-1000 is used for a variety of applications, including:
- Measuring the concentration and purity of nucleic acids up to 3700 ng/µL without dilution
- Measuring the fluorescent dye labeling density of nucleic acid microarray samples
- Analyzing purified proteins up to 100 mg/mL
- Quantifying fluorescent dye labeled proteins, conjugates, and metalloproteins
- Performing Bradford Assay, BCA Assay, and Lowry Assay for protein analysis
- Measuring cell density
- Performing general UV-Vis spectrophotometry
